Flowers tell a story, whether it be an occasion, a memory, or the scent, we all have an emotional tie to flowers and at Flat Out Florals we specialize in preserving those stories through the art of floral preservation. We strive to take clients back to to special moments in their lives.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START THIS BUSINESS?
Flat Out Florals began in 2020 after realizing my passion for preserving memories through nature. Ever since I was a little girl I was fascinated by dried florals - always hanging them upside down in my bedroom to air-dry. They still hang there in my childhood home to this day. With an entrepreneurial heart, serving others and creating for others the most unique piece of art capturing the memories shared with loved ones is a dream. What started as a passion driven side hobby led to meaningful gifts that led to the start of a small business. It is our clients that continue to inspire me to grow my business - the immense emotion when their pieces are revealed to them and they are instantly brought back to their most cherished moments.

My greatest piece of advice is to allow yourself grace in the process. Perfection is a hard stop on growing anything. Keep an open mind, be adaptable, allow yourself to adjust the process and be accepting of the fact that what you thought may "be the right way" might not be and pivot your perspective rather than being brought down by what you may feel is a failure.
