On my first Lifestyle post I shared with you the importance and significance of passion, it’s life changing! Passion is such a huge driving force and I believe we all have at least one passion, whether we have discovered it or not! I want to share with you how I discovered my passion for theatre! I did practically grow up on the stage believe it or not. I started dance when I was 4 and took classes at least once a week. I did ballet for over 7 years, some jazz, and started pointe when I was 10. My pointe shoes were a size 12 in kids, the smallest size they had lol. Then my family and I moved away, and I didn’t really have anything to do. That next summer my mom signed me up a summer theatre class. It was an improv weekend class and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it! The way my mom describes it is, “She came out glowing.” I really did! I loved this new way of storytelling, having fun, and being dramatic of course! The next week my instructor talked to my mom and she told her to have me audition for their Christmas show. So, I did! I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into, how much I would love it, and the amazing friendships I would make through it and along the way. After that first production I performed in 3 additional productions with that company, my first theatre company here in PA. Then I moved to Virginia for a year with my family and performed in over 4 productions there as well. In July of 2016 we moved back to PA and I took the next year and a half off the performing realm to work ahead in school. Thanks mom! During that time, I completed 2 years of school in one and the next year finished 11th grade and the only credit I had left for 12th grade was an English credit, so I flew through that. My passion is theatre and my dream is to perform for Sight and Sound Theatre here in Lancaster Pennsylvania, where my family moved 2 years ago to support and encourage this aspiration, they’re amazing. So what am I up to now? Well, I’ve auditioned for Sight and Sound Conservatory program 2 years in a row now, haven’t been accepted yet. That’s where my passion comes in, I will try every year until they take me because I will not give up on my dream! I believe a “not now” doesn’t mean “never”. This is my story, where I am and where I want to go! What is your passion? If there were no restrictions in any way, shape, or form what would that look like for you? How wild is your dream?
