Hey friends! 2020 is zipping by! So moment of truth: Remember your new year’s resolutions? How are they coming along?
I’m actually pretty proud of myself for getting to the gym and making good eating habits this year. It isn’t always easy but it’s so rewarding. One of my struggles that I have taken notice of is getting the late night munchies but guess what?! I’m reading this book called “Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight” by Joel Marion and wow, it’s a GAME CHANGER.
I’m choosing to read this book to give me a new perspective on my health and give me more options on how to increase my energy throughout the day. When I read the book title I thought it was crazy at first. We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research (which I'm always interested in!) shows us that this earlier model is not the most ideal. I’ve always been told NOT to eat later in the evening or night, but based on surprising science, “Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.” Sounds great, huh? I’d love to go to bed not feeling guilty for having a snack while watching some Netflix or reading a book before bed, wouldn’t you?
Here’s a quote from the book that explains how it works!
“Always Eat After 7 pm is a three-phase program that teaches you how to lose big by strategically eating big when you are naturally hungriest—in the evening. This may sound too good to be true, but let me assure you it is no gimmick. It’s all about making strategic and smart food swaps, and you can still eat your favorite foods.”
So if you feel like you need to get back on track with your 2020 goals, or whether you’re just looking to learn something new or are just curious, join me in reading this book!
