Living life to the fullest & not even mad about it. (02232020)
Something I’m learning lately ⤵️
“You get in what you put in.” ~ Hard work is worth it ~
Want solid friendships? A successful business? College degree? Deep spiritual life? Energy?
I’ve been making it a priority this year to invest in myself, it’s hard work and I don’t like it all the time. I’ve been going to the gym in between my college classes, 45 minutes 4x a week.. (unless classes conflict)
Moral of the story: Invest in yourself & do it for Jesus. God has called us to higher & better.
Complacency is l a m e.
I honestly thought investing in myself was selfish, that I should put others first always.
God calls us to: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matt 22:37-38.)
You do what God calls you to do first, God has been teaching me that I can’t pour from an empty cup. It just doesn’t work.
Your body is a temple, take care of it. Eat better and do some squats. Read your Bible. Then, invest in others. Watch God use those small things you do for yourself to not just impact you but also others to impact others.
An enriched life is worth the effort.
